چکیده
During polymerization, composite materials cause a temperature rise which may lead to irreversible changes in the dental pulp. The mechanical properties of depend on number factors, such as composition material, type polymerization unit, mode, and duration polymerization. objective this study was assess values flexural strength materials, obtained using different modes times A total six were used study. Samples each cured seven protocols. CMP-401 digital meter (Sonel, Świdnica, Poland), complete with K thermocouple (NiCr-Ni), record increases during light curing resin composites. Temperature rises recorded beneath disc an acrylic matrix. specimens tested for Cometech QC-508M2 testing machine. lowest results increased mean Fast-Cure 3 s (39.0 °C), while highest 20 (45.8 °C). average all protocols Z550 Filtek material. Mean strengths measured test group higher than minimum value per ISO:4049 standard. In case deep caries thin layer dentin separating filling from pulp, base or short mode is recommended protect pulp thermal injury.

Real-Time Analysis of Temperature Changes in Composite Increments and Pulp Chamber during Photopolymerization
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the temperature change at various sites within the composite and on the pulpal side of dentin during polymerization of two composite increments. MATERIALS AND METHODS Class I cavities prepared in third molars were restored in two composite increments (n = 5). Temperatures were measured for 110 s using eight thermocouples: bottom center of cavity...
متن کاملTemperature Rise during Primer, Adhesive, and Composite Resin Photopolymerization of a Low-Shrinkage Composite Resin under Caries-Like Dentin Lesions
Objective. This study evaluated temperature rise of low-shrinkage (LS) self-etch primer (P), LS self-etch adhesive (A), and P90 silorane-based composite resin systems, photopolymerized under normal and artificially demineralized dentin. Methods. Forty 1.5 mm-thick dentin discs were prepared from sound human molars, half of which were demineralized. Temperature rise was measured during photopoly...

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Variations in light-polymerizing parameters, such as light intensity and light-to-material distance, may affect the physical characteristics of polymerized resin. PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to characterize the relation between total light energy and the final hardness of 4 composites polymerized under varying conditions. MATERIAL AND METHODS Four commercial c...
